Terms of Service
What do I need from you?
I hope that I have shown you that I will be fully committed to helping with any of the issues that you may be facing. I will do my best at all times to give you the very best of my services and to support you in your decision to undertake therapy. However, you need to know that therapy is a two way street and there are a few things that I will need from you too.
My work life balance is just as important to me as it is to anyone else. I also run my business in the best way that I can. So by undertaking therapy for any length of time you will be agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
You agree to give adequate notice of any cancelations
This is really important because often I will be charged room rent. If I don’t cancel your session in good time then I may be charged for it. Also, I’ll be traveling to see you and so you could be leaving me out of pocket.
Therefore, I require 48 hours’ notice of any cancelation. If you cancel within 48 hours then you will incur a charge for half of the agreed fee. If there are multiple cancelations then the full fee will still be charged.
Of course, if you find yourself in an emergency, you are suddenly ill or you find yourself in a situation that is completely out of your control, then I am able to exercise discretion but this will be based upon a discussion of the circumstances.
You will do your best to be on time for your sessions
It is in your best interest to be on time for sessions because this will ensure that you get the full amount of time that you need in order to fully benefit from each session.
When we agree a time to meet then the session will start at that time. It won’t start on the time of arrival to the session. I’ll do my best to ensure that the directions to my centres are clear and I understand that people get caught in traffic. However, I will still reserve the right to keep to the allotted time in order to ensure that lateness does not affect any other clients that I might be seeing after our session.
Social media
The therapeutic relationship is often a really strong one and you may feel that you would like to know more about me personally. I often receive friend requests from clients but please note that I cannot accept such an invitation. Accepting friend requests on Facebook is a threat to your confidentiality and it also blurs the boundaries in our therapeutic relationship. Both of these things can be really detrimental to your progress. If you have any further questions on this then please, do not hesitate to contact me.
Payment
At the moment, I accept cash or bank transfer. If paying by bank transfer, then please make payment to me within one week of the session. If paying by cash, then please ensure that you bring the correct amount to the session. If payment is not made, or payments are regularly paid late, then I reserve the right to cancel future sessions. If payment is not made to me at all, then action may be taken via a small claims court.
All of this sounds very serious and in a lot of ways it is. I run my business this way in order to ensure that I remain ethical and that I can work in the best interest of all my clients. If you agree to my terms then I can ensure that each session is about yourather than the practicalities that surround our session together.
I hope that you find my terms agreeable. However, if you have any queries then I would be happy to discuss them before our therapy sessions begin.
